UK Drinks Market Slows Down
Having previously been closer to 10%, the market for all types of drinks in the UK in 1999 accounted for 7.4% of all consumer spending – an indication of the pressure on prices in the drinks market. The sector is predicted to grow in value by just over 11% over the next five years – around half the level of the 1995 to 1999 period, with fewer new products and increased price pressures.
