Advertisers to Target the UK Teenage Magazine Market More Aggressively
Successive rises in cover prices have meant that sales revenue has shown reasonable growth in the teenage magazines market, despite the fact that circulations have been falling for many magazines. This factor is of particular importance to the market for teenage magazines as these products are less able to attract large amounts of advertising in comparison to the glossy titles aimed at older women. However, there are signs that this is beginning to change, at the older end of the market, with high-spending advertisers (which are already beginning to target US teenagers in the hope of capturing early loyalty) starting to show an interest in the UK market.
