Regency House
Regency House is a charming 1850’s Victorian town house which has provided accommodation in the very heart of Cambridge for many years.

The brief
Students and lecturers visiting Cambridge University often used the guesthouse, but it was never particularly popular with tourists. So following a change of ownership, a refurbishment programme was undertaken. Out went the dated decor and budget furnishings, fireplaces were uncovered, covings and architrives restated and in came classic decor and hand selected furnishings.

It was also time to create an identity in tune with its new interior and image.

Our brief was simple: to attract more tourists.

Our solution
Name Generation
Bryt put forward a two-part solution, firstly to change its name. We recomended against using the term ‘guest house’ to prevent association with the stale, tardy image that is associated with this description.

We proposed to simply call the premises ‘Regency House’. We also created the strap-line ‘be our guest in Cambridge’ which admirably conveyed its warmth, charm, character and personal service.

Visual Identity
The chosen route for the colour of the identity was ‘Cambridge Blue’ - evocative of the age of the building and all that Cambridge stands for.

Combined with a black silhouette illustration of the Victorian architecture, the clean and regal lines of our identity perfectly conveyed the personality of this rejuvented business.

The results
The new identity was rolled out to stationery and a new website resulting in a dramatic increase in bookings and new clientele from far afield.

Testimonial
"I am delighted with the new corporate identity for Regency House. Bryt’s approach was interesting, fun and professional. The designs created were a true reflection of the character of my business."
